The first time ever need of ERP software was needed in Jabil was felt when in 2013 they acquired another healthcare company - Nypro. There was already SAP software working in Jabil but after this take over they needed a new software regarding ERP and they moved to MES because SAP was unable to manage the real time production capabilities of JPS.

What was the biggest benefits of the IQMS MES -

The benefits were many like IQMS MES provided the real time production monitoring capabilities to the company so that they could understand the difference between their actual cycle time and average cycle time. It also helped them to understand the real performance of their machinery into the landscape of shop floor.

The original MES was integrated in to SAP which was originally preparing the proper documentation and reporting which was stored on a folder on a shared device. It also helps in understanding the problem reasons in maintenance or mold and they could take the immediate response to correct and to take the predictive measures.

All the maintenance work data was also collected in the real time environment of MES and it provided the real time data to the officials that could save the real time and cost to the company and stopped the hours of work of manual data processing and provided the real time information into visuals.

This case study also tells that MES also helped the company to improve the scenario of SAP software and two software integratedly really worked well for the company. It also improves the real time visibility of production processes and increases the customer responsiveness.
